Boris is the son of two immigrants. His mother is from a small pueblo (town) in El Salvador and a home health care worker; his father is a safety agent at Woodhull Hospital and immigrated from a rural community in the Dominican Republic. He was born and raised in Brooklyn, and attended public schools in north Brooklyn, including East New York High School of Transit Technology. Previously, he served as a 2nd grade teacher and 3rd grade special educator in Far Rockaway, as well as a community organizer for a local Council Member and the Chief of Staff to the youngest female elected official to the New York State Senate. He believes that our economic capitalist system has harmed our planet and the working class families that are struggling to put food on the table, at a time when rents, mortgages, transportation fees, and healthcare costs are rising. He is running to be your next Assembly Member in order to change that.
Boris is rejecting ALL corporate donations and developer dollars. His campaign is sustained by grassroots donors like you.
